Oily Skin

Oily skin has a shin appearance and is usually thicker, firmer, and less sensitive the other types. The pores are visibly more noticeable than other skin types and are medium to large in size. There is a tendency for recurring clogged pores, blackheads, whiteheads, blemishes and enlarged pores. This is due to the overproduction of the oily substance called sebum, by the oil glands in the lower layer of the skin. Unfortunately, this skin type is the one most prone to acne, but the good news in this oiliness will make this type of skin stay younger for longer. Moderately Oily (Normal/Oily combination)

Combination skin refers to skin with two or more distinctly different characteristics on different parts of the face.The most common combination skin is oily in certain areas and then dry or normal in the other areas. Usually the "T- zone" (forehead, nose, and chin) is oily and the cheeks and around the eyes are normal to dry. Having said this, some combination skin does not follow the T-zone pattern. It can have patches of dry oily skin in other arrangements. If you are unsure of you skin's oily & dry areas, press a tissue on your face for half an hour after washing. Any greasy Patches on the tissue signify where the oily areas are. Normal Skin

Normal skin is the goal of every skin care program. Yet, it may be that the only truly normal skin is that of a child. Normal skin is not too oily or dry & blemishes are uncommon. Normal skins appearance is moist, plump and dewy. The pores are small to medium in size. The skin is of medium thickness and has an even tone. Normal skin is soft, smooth & firm with good elasticity. Although this skin has naturally a good balance of oil & moisture level, but it still need a good daily care routine. Splash your face with water. Massage in a gentle facial wash & work it up for some seconds in order to boost a supply of blood to the surface of your skin. Dry Skin

This skin type mostly feel one size too small. It is a fair bet you have got a dry complexion. Dry skin may have visible flaking. It is often delicate, easily irritated and usually sensitive to cold weather. Sometimes in your eyebrows, there is a tendency to premature aging with the emergence of fine lines & wrinkles. This kind of skin requires soothing care to look its best. Dry skin is caused by many factors. Super facial dryness is caused by exposure to the sun, sea, air, wind or pollutants. Sensitive Skin

Sensitive Skin is usually quite fine in texture with a tendency to be rosier than usual. It is characterized by overreaction to external influences (sun, wind, certain cosmetics, handling and temperature extremes). Dryness can make sensitive skin even more uncomfortable & irritated.
