Akhavi Laboratory is a family-owned company, established in 1990 by
Dr. Nassrollah Akhavi, developing healthcare and cosmetic products
under the brand name of SEAGULL.
Dr. Akhavi, the head of the Research and Development Department,
being the sole International Expert in Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals
in Iran and a member of the French "Organization Des Experts
Internationals", put the essence of over 40 years of his experience
into innovative formulations. Dr. Akhavi has had the experience to
work with well-known cosmetic companies such as L'Oreal, Vichy and Lancome and many reputed foreign and domestic pharmaceutical
laboratories.
Mr. Farid Akhavi, the major shareholder and the company's managing
director, is experienced both in domestic and international
marketing activities and Iranian market strategies, enabling the
Akhavi Laboratory to become one of the prime leading companies in
Iran in the field of cosmetics. His strategy is to please and regard
both the internal and external suppliers and customers of Seagull
products as the company's long- term partners.
Another family member and company shareholder is Mrs. Shirin Akhavi
who takes care of both the commercial affairs and the public
relations which include sourcing creditworthy suppliers of needed
raw materials, purchasing the necessary materials, scheduling
participation in both national and global exhibitions and workshops,
maintaining direct and constant contact with both foreign suppliers
and customers to provide up to date feedback to the organization in
order to optimize the company's efficiency and quality control.
The company's activities include:
1-Importing the needed raw materials from Prime European companies
i.e Roche, Henkel, Merck, etc.
2-Clearing the imported materials from customs by our professional
clearance team.
3-Formulating and manufacturing unique cosmetic creams and
healthcare toothpastes.
4- Filling and packing our products in plastic and laminated tubes
and custom- designed boxes.
5-Marketing and distributing our products in Tehran and 25 different
cities all over the country through our representatives in each
city.
6-Exportation of the company's products.
The factory is located in an Industrial region close to Tehran with
5000 sm. of land and more than 2000 sq.ms of building. All the
processing , mixing, filling and packing machinery are supplied by
the best machinery companies such as Kalix and Norden.
The main office is located in one of the best areas of the capital,
in NorthernTehran with 300 sq.m.s.
At the time being the company has 145 employees of whom 25 personnel
work in the main office ,20 at the factory in Karaj , 25 as our
sales representatives all over Iran and 25 employees in our
marketing department both in Tehran and other cities.
The Akhavi Laboratory has been honored to receive the ISO 9002 in
2001 from QMI Canada and had been registered to Saudi Arabia
Standard Organization(SASO) , in 2002.
The company's technical personnel attend international events such
as cosmetic conferences, expositions and workshops throughout the
year, in order to become up to dated with the latest formulations
and technologies.
The company due to its high reputation, fine products, well-equipped
lab and well-trained crew, is now open to all innovative suggestions
in areas such as exporting, manufacturing under license of reputed
well-known foreign laboratories, joint venturing and is flexible to
adjust its potentials with creative ideas.
